Wyborowa - Polish Vodka.

Its production started in 1823 in Poznań by the Jewish entrepreneur Hartwig Kantorowicz. The word choice appeared in an article praising the quality of this vodka, hence the name.

The real "veteran" of both Monde Selection and other global competitions is certainly Wyborowa, vodka present 78 world markets, exported continuously since the time of the Polish People's Republic. At that time, vodka was a symbol of Polish quality and tradition.

In the 1950s and 1960s, it was known in most European countries - it accounted for over 60% of the total amount of vodka exported to Great Britain. At the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, the Poznań distillery was close to bankruptcy. However, thanks to the high popularity of the main product - Wyborowa vodka, it was bought by the French company Pernod Ricard. The new owner has shown respect for a long tradition and has not made any changes to the product.

Vodka Wyborowa has been participating in international alcohol competitions since 1962. So far, it has participated in 29 competitions around the world. To date, Wyborowa and its "sister" in the Super Premium category - Wyborowa Single Estate - have won 29 medals, including 22 gold. It also received the International High Quality Trophy award, won in 2002 in a competition organized by Monde Selection. The condition of receiving this award was winning gold medals by the same product for three consecutive years in Monde Selection competitions.
