The plantation from which the Arabica Ngila Estate AA Honey Processed comes from is located on the slopes of Ngorongoro, the caldera of an extinct volcanic crater in northern Tanzania. Covering an area of ​​approximately 100 ha, the crops are located at an altitude of 1600 to 1800 m a.s.l. Within two hours by car, the spacious savannas of the Serengeti National Park spread out, which is famous for its migrating giant herds of antelopes, zebras, buffaloes and gazelles. Rustic soils are volcanic, fertile, rich in minerals. Water used for growing and processing coffee is obtained from transparently clean streams flowing through protected areas, biologically diverse and characterized by an extremely complex, ancient structure of the ecosystem.

All this, of course - together with clean, fresh air and optimal sunlight. - affects the taste of coffee. Arabica from Ngila Estate is distinguished by an amazing, fruity bouquet (cherries, blackberries, wild strawberries, blueberries), against which deep notes of chocolate and marzipan stand out. Subtle bitterness breaks the sweetness resulting from a special method of processing - honey process - which is basically a combination of wet and dry methods. The fruit comes from both early (August) and late (September) harvests. In the wet processing process, the pulp separates from the beans, but does not remove them. Then the grains decompose very loosely and dry for a long time in the sun, turning them every day, and at this time the sugar contained in the fruit pulp shapes their future taste. The final result is deep and aromatic coffee, with elegant, full texture and surprising, soft acidity of forest fruits, with well-balanced sweetness and bitterness. Medium-dark and dark-roasted coffee is one of the most perfect of Tanzanian coffees.
